Lamb Of God Nashville Concert reviews
Best American Metal Show on Earth
Class show- they had a local metal band (whose vocalist was able to growl and hit screeches about as well as Randy) open, then a chilling performance by Behemoth (great costumes, lighting and stage effects- I was certain that Satan himself would erupt from a chasm in the floor and start banging his head to those guys), replete with spitting blood and all the band members growing horns at one point, and then of course Lamb of God. I have seen Lamb of God I don't know how many times (I got on the wagon with them late, 2009, but since then have not missed a local show) and this was a great performance. They have a natural cohesion as a band and do so well together, they are definitely a sum of more than just their individual parts, and as always they are neither presumptive nor condescending... they are just like their fans and their fans are them. The blood, sweat and tears that goes into their songs and performances are apparent, and this show was no exception. Huge amount of energy- mostly from Randy and Chris- really wild mosh pit and crowd-surfing. The venue, 20 Monroe Live, very clean and modern and just perfect for this show, the staff very attentive and well able to keep the peace and safety of all the guests (important for this kind of show), I felt pampered and taken care of from the line to leaving, lots of eye contact and smiles- can tell the staff enjoy their jobs. And why not? They hosted the Best American Metal Show on Earth and yet again it thrilled.
